We are from Ms Kelly sixth class. We have had a very busy autumn term here in St.Annes and we are going to give you an insight into what we have done in our class so far!!!! Let us begin!
ART: we are learning about different famous artists every month .In September we learned about Vincent Van Gogh .We learned about his extraordinary life. We learned that he only sold one painting in his whole life. Maybe we will be famous artists one day!. In October for Halloween art we learned all about Edvard Munch and recreated his famous painting The Scream.
Starry Night: We have learned about Starry Starry Night and used oil pastels to draw them they turned out brilliant.
ENGLISH: In English we learned about procedure writing. To help us, we made some delicious and nutritious smoothies!.We used so many fruits it was very tasty and a nice classroom treat!
HISTORY: We learned all about World War One and went to see an exhibition in Tallaght library. They had real artefacts, they were so interesting we had a great time there we thank the library for putting all there effort in. We wrote letters as soldiers in the trenches.. Take a look!
CROKE PARK: The boys gaelic football team done great in the Cumann na mBunscoil Gaeilic league. We are so proud of them for making it to Croke Park!
BASKETBALL LEAUGE: All 6th class is taking part in basketball league. It is very exciting and we all play for teams in the NBA in America such as Chicago Bulls and LA Lakers!
SHOW RASISIM THE RED CARD: When we were in school Jim Crawford who works for the FAI came to our school and talked about racism. We thought it was a very good talk and encouraged us to stand up to bullying.
FAI: We do (FAI) every Tuesday with Brendan. He is a very experienced trainer. We are so lucky to have him come to school to train us! He would be very good for younger students who want to become expert footballers.
I PAD PROJECTS: We are lucky enough to use ipads in our school. We worked on an app called “key note” and created our own presentations. Our projects were done on the Mary Celeste,9/11 and the Bermuda Triangle. Here are some of the projects done by people in our class!

COAT OF ARMS: We made our own coat of arms to show people what is important to us. We enjoyed making them.
We had very busy start in sixth class and we are going to get even more busier. I hope you liked this report from Ms Kelly’s 6th class!
